The department of Digital Architecture and Planning connects architecture, urban planning and computer science in a two-fold perspective. Research and teaching are focussed on digital media both as technology behind design and planning and as constitutive part of the society planned for. On the technology side, the focus is on design computing, algorithmic support of creative problem solving and the dynamic simulation of spatial processes. On the societal side, the emphasis is on exploring the digital media‘s influence on architectural form and urban development.
